Ms. Judy Christie

My name is Judy Christie.  I have been teaching Physical Education and Health, counseling and coaching for Livonia Public schools for over 30 years.   My teaching career spans from elementary to middle school to high school and now middle school and high school.  My counseling career, I spent eight years as a guidance counselor at Churchill high school, and I am currently counseling adults enrolled in the Livonia Adult Education program, who would like to complete their high school diploma or earn their GED.  My coaching career in Livonia started out in 1993, when I became the girls J.V. softball coach at Churchill.  I spent 18 years coaching softball at Churchill and 11 years coaching softball at Frost middle school.  Those were the good old days when we had softball programs in the middle schools.  The girls actually played in the Fall, which was a perfect way to start the school year.  Over my 30-year-career, I have also coached cross-country, basketball and volleyball.  I am currently one of the coaches of the Churchill Unified Basketball team.

Needless to say, I am passionate about physical activity and athletics.  I feel that taking the time to move is one of the best activities we can do for our minds and our bodies.

I teach at Holmes middle school in the mornings.  I travel on my prep hour and teach at Churchill in the afternoons.   The best way to reach me is through email.   My email is
