Dear Frost Families and Community Members,

It is with tremendous joy and enthusiasm that I introduce myself to you as the assistant principal of Frost Middle School. I am honored to fill the shoes of past leaders and privileged to serve the community in which I reside. My wife and I moved to Livonia three years ago and we have a 15-month-old son. We were drawn to Livonia because of the community’s commitment to education and I am thrilled to be an active member within the district. Our roots have been set in the Livonia community and we intend to be consistent contributors to the life of our schools.

Previously, I have enjoyed five years as the Middle School Dean of Instruction at Fortis Academy in Ypsilanti, MI. Preceding my time at Fortis, I taught upper elementary and middle school grades for six years between Gladstone and Lansing, MI. My experiences as a classroom teacher and administrator have shaped my educational philosophy into three buckets; prioritize physical and mental well-being, ensure high expectations for learning, and to create avenues for students to pursue their passions. The core of my philosophy begins with forming strong interpersonal relationships with students based on mutual respect and positive interactions. Adolescent life brings many challenges as our scholars transition to adulthood. My goal is to support their development by ensuring all students are given opportunities to develop life skills through our community of character work.

I have a passion for creating an environment where all children can thrive. I believe our parent partnership can contribute to a thriving learning environment for our scholars by having consistent and open communication. I value an active parent community where we model the expectations and skills we impart on our scholars. My journey through the field of education has been enriched through the relationships I have built and the knowledge I have gained from others. I am eager to meet our students and to create a positive learning experience for all.
