This will be my 33d year teaching at the Livonia Career Technical Center.  I am looking forward to sharing my love of learning and technology with another group of students from the 3 Livonia High Schools, Northville, Plymouth Canton and surrounding districts.  I spend my summers attending conferences learning about Virtual Reality Development, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Video Game Design.  Early in my career I won the honor of being selected as an Outstanding New Michigan Marketing Educator and two years ago was recognized with a Leadership Award from the Games For Change Organization.  I love teaching, I love teenagers and look forward to seeing the amazing work they will create over the upcoming school  year.

I earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University, a Post Baccaulareate Degree in Marketing Education from Eastern Michigan University, a Masters of Business Education from Eastern Michigan University, and a Masters of Education in Special Education from The University of Michigan Dearborn. I have hundreds of hours of professional development from a variety of top notch programs including Harvard, Globaloria, Michigan Business Education Assocniation, North Carolina Digital Media, Computer Science Teachers Association to name a few.

In addition to my teaching duties, I am a Department Chair and sponsor students to compete in  Video Game Competitions where students have CONSISTENTLY WIN TOP AWARDS.  21-22 Games For Change Winners   21-22 STEM FUSE Winners  

This year, as a part of an invite only program, the Games For Change organization has selected my classes to participate in a virtual exchange program for teens in the US, Bahrain, Israel and the United Arab Emirates in which teens engage in creative dialogue and collaborative game design. Not only does the program help teach important STEM and 21st Century skills, but it employs virtual exchange as an opportunity to build cultural understanding and prepare youth to become engaged, global citizens.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy travelling, home improvement projects and spending time with my family.
