Mrs. Simor
Hello! My name is Emma Simor and I have been teaching for seven years. This will be my fourth year with Livonia Public Schools and I am thrilled to be a resource room teacher at Riley Upper Elementary. In my previous positions, I have been an ASD center-based teacher as well as a teacher consultant. I truly believe my experience with a vast variety of learners will benefit all students I service at Riley.
Livonia is home for me. My parents, husband, and I all grew up and graduated from Livonia Public Schools. I have firsthand experience of the incredible principals, teachers, and support staff that are a part of the LPS experience. It is an honor that I now get to be a part of that experience for our students here at Riley.
A little bit about myself personally, I graduated from Michigan State University (go green!) with my bachelor's in Learning Disabilities. I then went on and received my master's degree in Special Education with an endorsement in ASD. I am also certified in K-6 general education. My husband also went to MSU and we got married in November 2016. We currently have two sons named Beckham and Easton as well as two golden retrievers named Breslin and Leo. In my spare time, I love to spend time with family & friends, watch MSU sports, and be outside.
If you have any questions, please never hesitate to reach out via phone or email. I am ready for a great year!
