Ms. Zakem(ゼカム先生)

I am in my sixth year of teaching at Niji-Iro Elementary, and am thrilled to be teaching both 5th graders and 6th graders. I am the 6th grade homeroom teacher, and teach math and social studies for both 5th grade and 6th grade. I am also the teacher for the 5th-6th Nihongo class (Japanese language class.) I majored in Japanese in college, and after graduation, I lived for five years in Japan teaching English. It was in Japan that I realized how much I loved teaching, and got my teacher certification when I returned to Michigan. I continue to keep learning Japanese, and am excited to be teaching Nihongo again this school year.
