Hello!  Welcome to my sixth grade website!!!  This year marks my 23rd year as a teacher and at Johnson.  I earned both my bachelor's and master's degrees from Eastern Michigan University. Teaching is the only profession I have ever wanted to do.  One of my goals for my 6th grade students is to get them prepared for 7th grade.  Note taking and organization are key skills to their success in 6th and 7th grade!!!  

In addition to teaching, I love spending time with my cat Bella, my family and friends.  I also perform on stage during the summer at Garden City High School.  Most recently, I performed as Little Red Hood's Granny in the show Into the Woods.  This was my 3rd performance during the summer, and I performed with my friends and family.  Acting is definitely a new hobby for me and something that has definitely stretched me as a learner.  This is something that I want my kids to know, that I am a learner just like they are.
