Welcome to the new school year.  My name is Laura Schroth and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year.  I love being able to impact children's lives in a positive manner on a daily basis.  I will do my best to provide a nurturing learning environment that will meet individual needs, develop positive attitudes and behaviors, and foster independence.

My teaching career began with two years in the Saginaw School District in 1998.  I worked there as a Title 1 Math Teacher.  Since then I have been working in Livonia.  I have taught grades 2nd through 6th, but have been teaching in my favorite grade for the last 11 years.  

My husband and I have three wonderful children.  My two oldest, Kelsey and Adam graduated from Michigan State and have careers that they love.  My youngest, Kaitlyn, is a sophomore at Michigan State (Go Green!).  We also have three other ‘family’ members; a dog (she’s my favorite), a cat, and a turtle.  I enjoy my days away from school by spending time with my family, traveling, reading, and all outdoor activities; especially water sports.
