Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Abigail Mencotti

I grew up in Michigan and earned my Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education from Central Michigan University. I continued my education to earn my Master's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Michigan State University. I began teaching Family and Consumer Science Education in 2008. I am excited to continue teaching Family and Consumer Science courses at Franklin and Stevenson High schools. The Family and Consumer Science department offers a variety of courses that allow students the opportunity to develop real life skills that apply to their lives now and in the future. The courses we offer include: Life Management, Child Development, Parenting, Foods/Nutrition 1, Foods/Nutrition 2, Personal Living, and Interior Design. I’m excited for an amazing year with students!
