KLAA Winter Season Spectator Policy-Effective Feb. 1, 2021

Attention SHS - The KLAA has updated its winter athletic attendance policy. The important change/clarification that affects students is that you must be a sibling of a participant to be able to attend and if attending as a brother or sister of a participant you must enter with an adult, ie. a parent, grandparent. Each participant is allowed four (4) spectators.

Athletics KLAA Spectator Policy under COVID-19:  Parents and students-attendance at winter athletic contests is limited to family members only at this time and the current cap for the number of spectators is 4 per participant in the majority of sports. If a student is attending, they must be a sibling of the participant. A brother or sister count as one of the two participants allowed spectators and must be accompanied by an adult to enter. Student-athletes with more than two parents will be accommodated. Please contact the athletic department and they will help you. There are sports right now where no spectators are currently allowed (Bowling) and some sports where the number changes based on venue and the number of teams attending based on local and district policies (i.e. Gymnastics is one spectator per participant, Swimming & Diving is two). Your student athlete's coach will keep them, and you apprised of any situational changes. Likewise, should the current policies change we will be sure to let you know. We need and appreciate everyone's cooperation as it is one of the many things needing to be done to keep our kids playing.

    Livonia Stevenson Athletics

    Dear Stevenson Community:
We have had several requests inquiring as to whether or not tailgating will be allowed at any of our Athletic events this year.  This is to let you know that Livonia Stevenson will NOT be allowing tailgating or gatherings of any type at any of our Athletic events this year.  This policy applies to both indoor and outdoor events and also to events held off-campus (i.e. Cross Country, Golf, Hockey).  We appreciate your kind cooperation and understanding concerning this matter.  Thank you for your assistance with this policy.

I have also included two documents for your review: KLAA Spectator Policy and Livonia Stevenson Event Policies.

    Thank you, Lori Hyman-Athletic Administrator
