I received my Bachelor of Science degrees in biochemistry and microbiology from Michigan State University. I worked as a microbiologist, chemist, and director of an environmental laboratory for eight years before attending the University of Michigan and earnig my teacher certification and a Master of Arts degree in Education. After graduating, I began my teaching career here in Livonia. I have been married since 2001 and have two beautiful daughters. I love animals and have a dog, cat, two tortoises, and a horse. My hobbies include reading, fishing, swimming, and horseback riding.
