Mrs. Lauren Bauer, Ed.S.
Hello! I would like to use this page as an introduction, give some background about myself, and also explain a bit about my role here at Coolidge. Looking forward to a great year at Coolidge supporting our Cougars!
I began in LPS at Kennedy, then Riley, and finally Churchill (go Chargers!) I loved my time as a student, and am enjoying my time educating and caring for our students even more! I appreciate the solid foundation my education provided me, which enabled me to reach my dreams and achieve my goals. I wish the same for your students! Before my time in Livonia, I worked for 14 years in Waterford Public Schools as an elementary school teacher, literacy interventionist, and literacy coach.
I have recently relocated to Livonia with my 2 sons, Jackson (8) and Benjamin (4), who both attend Coolidge with me! My boys keep me very busy and have a lot of energy! In my spare time, I like going on adventures like hikes, bike rides, and day trips to the zoo. I also like to listen to audiobooks, sing poorly to the Hamilton soundtrack, and watch sports on TV, especially MSU! (Go green!)
In my role as an Elementary Support Teacher, I work closely with Mrs. Rand. Our role is to support students with their academic, health, behavioral, and/or emotional needs. Teachers and parents often meet with us to discuss needs, explore interventions and develop a plan of action. We both work closely with Mrs. Collyer, teachers, and parents to educate, challenge, and inspire every student to achieve personal success and become a confident contributor to society. We see parent involvement as a crucial piece to a successful educational journey for our students.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions, comments, or concerns you may have regarding your childś academic progress or emotional well-being. Support teachers can serve as a resource for you or your child when handling issues and concerns that come up throughout the year.
