Mrs. Lauren Bauer, Ed.S.
Hello! My name is Lauren Bauer, one of the support teachers here at Coolidge. I am looking forward to a great year at Coolidge supporting our Cougars!
I began at LPS at Kennedy, Riley, and Churchill (go, Chargers!). I loved my time as a student and am enjoying my time educating and caring for our students even more! I appreciate the solid foundation my education provided me, which enabled me to reach my dreams and achieve my goals. I wish the same for your students!
Before my time in Livonia, I worked for 14 years in Waterford Public Schools as an elementary school teacher, literacy interventionist, and literacy coach. I have recently relocated to Livonia with my two sons, Jackson (8) and Benjamin (6), who both attend Coolidge with me! My boys keep me very busy and have so much energy. In my spare time, I like to ice skate, rollerblade, listen to audiobooks, sing poorly to the Hamilton soundtrack, and watch sports on TV, especially MSU! (Go green!)
As an Elementary Support Teacher, I work closely with Mrs. Rand. Our role exists to support students with their educational, health, behavioral, and emotional needs. Teachers and parents often meet with us to discuss concerns, explore interventions and develop a plan of action. We both work closely with Mrs. Collyer, teachers, and parents to educate, challenge, and inspire every student to achieve personal success and become confident contributors to society. Additionally, we see parent involvement as crucial to a successful educational journey for our students.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions, comments, or concerns you may have regarding your child's academic progress or emotional well-being. Support teachers can be a resource for you and your child when handling issues and concerns throughout the year.
