Hello and welcome to first grade! My name is Mackenzie Smith and I am thrilled to be a part of Hoover Elementary! I graduated from Michigan State University in 2018. Since then, I have had a full year internship in a first-grade classroom in the Waterford School District and spent a year teaching English as a second language in a bilingual middle/high school in Spain. At Hoover Elementary, I have taught both fourth grade and first grade. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, hiking, spending time with my family, and reading a good book.
