Posted by WILLIAM GREEN on 2/16/2020

    Happy Mid-Winter Break Roosevelt families,

My eblast has come a little sooner than I thought!

It is a short week at Roosevelt Elementary!  Do your children know about President's Day!  I found this link, https://www2.ed.gov/free/features/presidents-day.html, which gives a nice overview and some suggested activities.  Who is your favorite President and why?

Attendance was much better this past week!  We still need to be diligent in our wellness plan.  Therefore I will continue to send my letter about caring for sick children.

Stay tuned for details later this week about our Literacy Night for Parents. As a reminder, you have also received multiple correspondences from the school district about the Read By Grade Three law. The district has posted a Frequently Asked Questions summary on the websites front page,www.livoniapublicschools.org, regarding the Read By Grade Three law.   Of course, you can contact me with any questions as well.  I will be giving a brief overview of the law and what Roosevelt does to address meeting the needs of students who are falling behind in the area of reading at our Literacy Night.

Congratulations to Tara Moeller and Heather Pac who were recognized at last week's PTA Founder's Day for their contributions to our Roosevelt PTA.
