Welcome 1st Grade Hoover Families! My name is Emily Gage and I will be your child's first grade teacher this year! This is my first year at Hoover and I am so excited to be a part of the Hoover family! Throughout my teaching experience I have taught first and second grade. This fall will be my fourth year teaching and my second year teaching 1st Grade. I look forward to sharing my love and passion for learning with your child!

In 2016 I graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and a minor in dance. I am currently pursuing my Masters degree at Madonna University in Literacy. 

My husband and I just recently celebrated our one year wedding anniversary and have a one year old black lab mix named Maizey. During our free time we love to take Maizey for hikes, travel northern Michigan, and Saturdays throughout the fall you will find us at U of M cheering on the Wolverine Football team! When I am not in the classroom, you can find me at the dance studio teaching ballet, tap, and jazz.
