Welcome to our second grade classroom!  My name is Laura Flak and I have been teaching in the Livonia Public Schools District a total of 20 years.  This will be my 9th year here at Hoover and I feel so blessed to be able to teach in such a positive, supportive, and engaging school and district.

I graduated with a language arts degree from Madonna University and received my masters in teaching from Marygrove College.  I love reading and look forward to helping your child grow not only in their reading abilities but in their love of reading and learning, as well.

My husband and I spent some time in northwest Michigan this summer, visiting some of our favorite places.  We also got to spend some quality time with our nieces and nephews and other extended family this summer.  It was a great break, but I am so excited to start the 2019-2020 school year with you and your child!
