Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! I have been teaching in Livonia since 1989 and have been a part of the amazing Hoover community since 1993. After teaching in the classroom for 33 years, I am so excited to start my new role as Hoover's Elementary Support Teacher. As an EST, I will be supporting K-4 students who require additional support in the area of literacy and mathematics. 

When I am not teaching, I enjoy bike riding, hiking, reading, and traveling. My favorite activity is spending time with my husband, Tim and our three sons. My husband and I live in Northville and we are adjusting to being "Empty Nesters." Our son Patrick is 30 years old and lives in Perrysburgh, Ohio with his wife Taylor. My son Dan is 28 years old and lives in Dexter, Michigan with his wife Ashley. Our youngest son, Bobby, is 25 years old and lives in Chicago. His wedding is on October 1st in Chicago. My husband and I can't wait to have Samantha officially become part of our family. Getting the family together in the same place, at the same time, is always challenging, but so great when it happens.

I believe strongly in helping every student, every day, no matter what it takes. If I have the privilege of working with your child this year, I will communicate with you often. Feel free to contact me throughout the year if you have any questions or concerns. It's going to be an awesome year!
